What an incredible weekend it has been!
Brass for Good 2026 has come to an end, and while we’re still counting the pennies, it looks as though we have exceeded our fundraising target for the weekend – a fantastic achievement for everyone involved. There is still time to donate, so if you haven’t yet had the opportunity to support us and our chosen charity, COPS (Care of Police Survivors), donations remain open.
Over the course of the weekend, musicians and supporters from bands across the UK came together in the beautiful Lake District for an unforgettable experience. From performances in Ambleside to the early morning ascents of Loughrigg Fell and Black Fell, the weekend perfectly captured what Brass for Good is all about – bringing people together through music, friendship and a shared desire to make a difference.
Thankfully, the weather was certainly on our side, treating participants to some stunning Lake District scenery and allowing all planned events to go ahead.
Brass for Good Chair, Ali, said:
“What an amazing weekend! To see musicians and supporters travel from all corners of the UK to take part has been truly humbling. The atmosphere throughout the weekend was incredible, with so much friendship, laughter and outstanding music. We are immensely proud of what everyone has achieved, both on and off the fells, and we’re delighted that it appears we have exceeded our fundraising target for COPS. A huge thank you goes to everyone who took part, volunteered, supported or donated. You have all helped make Brass for Good 2026 something very special.”
The committee would like to thank everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, hosted performances, and supported the event in any way. Events like this simply could not happen without you.
